Mollie
is a sweet and loving girl
who also has a happy
disposition. When Jim and Angie
approached me about possibly
getting a puppy I knew she was
going to go to a good home.
Jim loves to hunt- but I had
to warn him there was no way to
be sure that Mollie was going to
be a good hunting dog. Even
though she has relatives that
have excelled in the field
neither her mother nor father
had any hunting experience. He
was ok with that as he was
really looking for a family
companion- but if she did like
hunting that would be an added
bonus.
Well on opening day he decided
to take the young 4 month pup
out with him on a dove hunt. We
were all pleasantly surprised to
find out that not only did she
love the birdies she was a
retrieving maniac! Within a
short time Mollie delivered over
a dozen birds back to the
grateful hunters! Talk about
being a natural.
Mollie recently picked up her
first 2 point at her very first
show handled by co-owner Kristy
Hill. Mollie will pursue her
championship this summer as well
as continue her training in the
field to be a hunting dog.
